1. PurposeAdviserAlliance Support Services Pty Ltd (“AdviserAlliance”, “we”, “our”, “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

- All personal and sensitive information collected through our website (https://adviseralliance.au/) or when providing paraplanning, support, and consulting services to you.
- All clients, advisers, and individuals whose personal information we handle.

3. What Information We CollectDepending on our work with you, we may collect:
- Client information: details relating to the project being undertaken, which may include names, dates of birth, contact details, employment and income information, assets and liabilities, insurance details, superannuation and investment information, and other financial or personal data required to complete the work.
- Sensitive information: such as health or medical details relevant to insurance advice or underwriting.
- Adviser business information: including practice details, licensee, service instructions, and adviser contact information.
- Website and communication data: including email correspondence, website analytics, cookies, and IP addresses to help improve our service delivery.
We collect and use this information solely for the purpose of completing your requested work, and it remains confidential at all times.
4. How We Store and Retain InformationWe securely store confidential client information only for the period necessary to complete your paraplanning, support, or consulting engagement.
Once the work has been finalised and delivered to you, all related working files and documents are permanently deleted from our systems.
Only the final advice documents that you have authorised for inclusion will be uploaded or saved into your own filing system (for example, your CRM, Xplan, or cloud storage).
AdviserAlliance does not retain or back up copies of client files after completion. Accordingly, it is important that you maintain your own records and backups for your business and compliance purposes.
5. How We Collect InformationWe collect personal information directly from you or your adviser when you:
- Engage us to prepare financial advice documents;
- Provide details via email, online forms, or meetings; or
- Interact with our website or social media pages.
We may also receive limited personal information from third parties — for example, licensees or advisers — where authorised or required by law.
6. Why We Collect and Use InformationWe collect and use personal information to:
- Deliver paraplanning, support, and consulting services to you;
- Prepare financial planning documents (SOAs, ROAs, research and modelling);
- Meet our legal, regulatory, and compliance obligations; and
- Communicate with you about our services or respond to enquiries.
We do not sell, trade, or rent personal information.
7. Data Security (APP 11)We store all data securely within cloud-based systems (Microsoft OneDrive and SharePoint) with encryption in transit and at rest.
Access is restricted by multi-factor authentication, role-based permissions, and audit logs.
Only authorised team members may access client information.
8. Cross-Border Disclosure (APP 8)Some AdviserAlliance team members and paraplanners operate offshore.
Where personal information is transferred outside Australia:
- Only information necessary for the task is shared;
- All offshore staff are bound by confidentiality agreements and equivalent data-protection obligations; and
- AdviserAlliance remains responsible for ensuring compliance with the APPs.
9. Data Breaches and NotificationWe maintain a Data Breach Response Plan.
If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will promptly notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
10. Access and Correction of InformationYou may request access to or correction of the personal information we hold about you.
We will respond within a reasonable time and may ask you to verify your identity.
If you believe we have not handled your information appropriately, you can contact us (see section 13).
11. Cookies and Website AnalyticsOur website uses cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience and analyse traffic.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings; however, some features may not function properly.
Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify individual visitors.
12. Direct MarketingWe may send you updates or news about our services if you have consented or where permitted by law.
You can opt out at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in emails or by contacting us.
